The Easter Bunny delivered to the girls, a wonderful surprise. They got Nintendo's latest creation, the Wii. It's a gaming system that has controllers that monitor it's relative position in three dimensional space. It's incredible technology, and it allows for the family to play games like bowling, baseball, and other "physical games" that require you to go through the actual motions to interact with the gaming console. Everyone has enjoyed the games, and seems to have brought the family together for some good, clean fun! As I write this, Cassie is actually bowling, and they have all the sound, the motion. It's like she's really bowling right in the living room. Slick!

We took the girls to go see Horton hears a Who. It's a cute movie, with a lot of (ambiguous to kids)"hidden" adult content, which kept Leslie and I entertained, but the plot, and the actor's kept Carlee very entertained too. They kept the movie true to it's creator's vision, and the characters were done well. All and all I am very happy with the movie. The older girls ditched us for a scary movie (I think it was called "Shutter"), but Leslie, Carlee and I had a nice time. I miss the times that all the girls were around Carlee's age, and Leslie and I aren't so lame that the other daughters do not want to join us, but it's just that independence streak that all kids get. Oh well, you gotta take what you can get. :)

Like most Americans, Leslie and I have been waiting for the battle between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray to come to an end. Finally it has ended, and it we now have a Blu-Ray player. The Samsung BP-D1400 seems like an OK player. I have been surprised at how long it takes a Blu-Ray player to read the disc and start playing a movie, but I think the quaility makes up for that. The video is crisp and clear, but I will admit, it's not so much of a difference between DVD and Blu-Ray that I would recommend that everyone upgrade their TV's and move to the technology. The amount of money that is required to upgrade is CRAZY!

I have been trying to come up with a logo for the Kulig Family Farm. I made the logo based on the importance of what the farm actually does. Believe it or not, the farm's main focus is the orchard. At least that seems to be my main drive out there: mulch, fertilizer, bug spray, and Bees!!
The next focus out there is the horses. Believe me when I say this is truly the primary job out there, because we feed them year round, and brother does the hay this year cost some money!!! We spend on average $500/month for hay and feed! Beyond that, there's maintenance of their hooves, brushing, and all of the other small things it takes to keep them healthy.
The last thing the farm does is poultry: Turkeys, Chickens and Guinee hens. Why do we get these birds? Is to eat them? No! Is it collect their eggs? Maybe. To be honest, Aarin, Cassie and Carlee love to hold them and pet them.
